Course description:
While everyone is exposed to natural background radiation, workers may also be exposed to ionizing radiation in workplaces with radiation sources. These radiation sources can pose a health risk to workers if not properly controlled.
Occupational exposure to ionising radiation can occur in a range of industries, including in mining and milling, in medical institutions, in educational and research, and others.
This course will help you understand the types and methods of measuring radiation, the symptoms of radiation overdose and when to seek medical attention, as well as radiation exposure prevention methods.
