Important Note: This course covers the theoretical componentof Aircraft Marshalling training, and the certificate issued will state as such. However, it is critical that your practical competency in the duties, procedures, and hand signals are assessed.

Target Learner: Aircraft Marshallers
The fundamental purpose of a marshaller is to control the movement of an aircraft prior to and after the flight. This function is performed on the apron and occasionally on the taxiway; taking care and ensuring that the movement area is clear of vehicles and pedestrian traffic. This function is accomplished using ICAO APPROVED marshalling hand signals.
This course also provides an overview of the following:

Identifying and controlling hazards on the Apron,

General apron signage and marking.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) required by marshallers,

Marshaller training and qualifications, and
-
Aviation definitions and abbreviations that will be important for marshalling.
