Course description:
Research has shown that by improving communication in all it’s forms, and across all channels, we can significantly decrease accidents and incidents. Poor communication has been a contributing factor to many accidents and is considered the foundation of safety in hazardous workplaces. This course will help you understand effective communication procedures, common communication errors, and communication barriers, and specifically focuses on communication skills in high-risk environments, and improving the effectiveness of pre-job briefings or ‘toolbox talks’.
Effective communication is one of the most important defences in any high-risk working environment, and particular skills and procedures can greatly improve safety levels.
