Course description:
This course focuses on communication skills in high-risk industries. Poor communication has been a contributing factor to many accidents and is considered the foundation to safety in hazardous workplaces.
This training program, was developed from the research into cockpit voice recorder (CVR) evidence of typical communication errors in these environments, as well as the elements that improve the effectiveness of toolbox talks or pre-job briefings.
Attention to specific aspects of communication, and to particular communication procedures can greatly improve safety in the work environment, and significantly reduce accidents and incidents.
Effective communication is one of the most important defences in any high-risk working environment.
