Course description:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is clothing or equipment designed to be worn by someone to protect them from the risk of injury or illness. PPE can include: hearing protective devices, such as ear muffs and ear plugs, respiratory protective equipment, eye and face protection, such as safety glasses and face shields.
PPE is equipment used to prevent or minimize exposure to hazardssuch as:
Biological, Chemical, and Radiological hazards, heat and cold.
This course provides employees with a thorough understanding of the seven types of PPE, the hazards that may require specific PPE to be worn or used, and the importance of using PPE correctly.
